Yangon - Mandalay - Yangon

Brief Itinerary:
* Day 01. Arrive Yangon and sightseeing. O/N Yangon.
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by KST representative and our tour guide. On the way visit to Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and Royal White Elephant camp. Check in to hotel and Yangon sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for photo stop, Yangon's city center featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building, drive in downtown visit China Town with the fruit market and Yangon's city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

* Day 02. Fly to Mandalay and sightseeing. O/N Mandalay.
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport and fly to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay and check in to hotel. Morning sightseeing; visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace), a superb example of a traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda, a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble, Sulamani Pagoda, Mandalay Hill and Mandalay Palace.
Proceed to Sagaing Hill - known as the center for mediation. Hillsides are dotted with numerous Pagodas and Monasteries. Visit to Khaungmudaw Pagoda, Pottery Making village and Silver-smith workshop. In the evening enjoy the sunset from Sagaing Hill. Return to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

* Day 03. Mandalay - Mingun sightseeing. In the evening fly back to Yangon. O/N Yangon.
After breakfast at hotel, depart Mandalay on a private boat along the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village on the west bank of the river. Visit to Mingun Pahtotawgyi, the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell, Myatheintan Pagoda and surrounding village. In the evening, fly back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

* Day 04. Shopping & Departure.
After breakfast at hotel, morning shopping at Gems mart and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport for departure.

Yangon City Tour

Shopping Tips


Visitors can shop in the downtown open-air market on the road. But be careful of the price and quality. Barraging for busy buy.

You are advised to buy jewelers and gems at the Myanmar Gems Museum and authorized jewelers' mart, where you will get a voucher with a permit for export. The duty free allowance is two cartons of cigarettes, 100 cigars, two bottle of liquor and half a liter of perfume.
Myanmar Rubies
Mogok Rubies in Myanmar are unique in the world. The special gravity of the ruby is 3.99, which is heavier than garnet or red spinal. It emits different shades of fluorescence when showered with ultra violet light. You can buy at the authorized gold & jewelers shops in Myanmar. Avoid, buying on the streets and non-authorized shops.
Myanmar Jade
The Myanmar jades are excellent imperial jades among the world.
Myanmar Sapphire
Sapphires from Myanmar are highly valued in the world gems market.
Myanmar Treasures

Antiques folks art pieces, betel boxes, cast bronze weighs in many animals and bird shpes, old fabrics, and countless others mysterious but charming pieces.

Carvings Myanmar craftmen are highly skilled in carving materials ranging from bone, wood and jade. Sandal Wood Buddha Images or figurines and jewelry carved from jade make especially precious souvenirs.

Marionettes The marionettes theatre is a grand tradition of Myanmar Culture, with puppets once bearing bad news to the kings that human messengers dared not utter.

Many are available in all sizes, gorgeously dressed in faux gems and skilles.

Paintings Many galleries and shops offer exquisite water colour, a medium in which the local artist excel.

Pottery and Basketry Glazes Ware is still used in many houses to store grain, oil, or water and produced in larges numbers for both domestic use and export.

Cane and bamboo furniture, baskets, bags and other utensils are abundantly found in many markets.

Silver Ware Bowls and artifacts of silver are hammered by hand and the traditional items are small boxes in filigree or relief work , showing traditional motives, mystical creatures or scenes from the classics. The smaller once make excellent pill boxes.

Tapestries Scenes of local life or traditional motifs are work in gold and sliver thread, figures are formed in silk and brass sequins on a velvet background. This is an old traditional and once used in the royal places as room dividers.

เมืองลา…เมืองร้างที่เคยศิวิไลท์

เมืองลา เมืองชายแดนพม่าติดกับจีนเป็นประตูสู่สิบสองปันนา ปกครองโดยพม่า(ว้าแดง) ประชากร ส่วนใหญ่เป็นชาวจีนซึ่งเข้ามาทำกิจการคาสิโนและโรงแรม พวกเราไม่แปลกใจเลยเมื่อต้องจ่ายเงินเป็นเงินหยวนของจีน ด้วยระยะเวลาเพียง 3 ปี จากเมืองเล็กๆ กลายเป็นเมืองใหญ่ศิวิไลท์เทียบเคียงเมืองเชียงใหม่เลยทีเดียว กลางคืนเมืองลาที่ไม่เคยหลับใหล แต่ปัจจุบันทำไมกลายเป็นเมืองที่แสนสงบเงียบ ผู้คนบางตา ร้านค้า โรงแรมปิดกิจการไปมากมาย ประตูคาสิโนทั้งหมดถูกคล้องโซ่และลูกกุญแจปิดตาย แม่ครัวที่ร้านอาหารช่วยพวกเราไขข้อสงสัยว่า ต้นปีทางการจีนสั่งปิดบ่อนคาสิโนด้วยปัญหาทางการเมืองและไม่มีกำหนดเปิด ซากบ่อนคาสิโนกลายเป็นโบราณสถานของเมืองลาที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงความรุ่งเรืองใน อดีต
ยาม ค่ำคืน พวกเรามองเห็นแต่แสงไฟจากพระธาตุจินตะสว่างไสวอยู่บนยอดดอยแต่ไกล ภายในพระธาตุนี้มีการสร้างแบบจำลองสถานที่สำคัญในพม่าตามเมืองต่างๆ ด้านนอกมีภาพเขียนนูนต่ำที่ทำให้พวกเราหลงใหลไปกับสีสันสดใสที่บรรดาจิตตกร ได้ละเลงเอาไว้ หน้าพระธาตุมีพระพุทธรูปยืนชี้นิ้วลอกเลียนแบบมาจากที่เชียงตุง ใกล้ๆ พระธาตุเห็นตึกสีชมพูสดใสสร้างความสนใจให้พวกเราต้องแวะลงไปดู เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ยาเสพติดซึ่งเป็นที่แสดงประวัติศาสตร์และภาพเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ในพม่านั่นเองตลาด ยามเช้าสุดจะคึกคักไม่แพ้ที่เชียงตุงมีผู้คนหนาตากว่าตามถนนหนทาง ที่ประหลาดใจเห็นจะเป็นการแบ่งแยกสินค้าเป็นหมวดหมู่ไม่ปนกันแม้ว่าเป็นตลาด เล็กๆ พวกเราพบเห็นสัตว์ป่าต่างๆ มีวางขายให้เห็นมากมาย เช่น อุ้งตีนหมี ตัวอ้น งูเหลือม ลิง กวางหรือเก้ง ตลอดจนนกสวยงาม ชวนให้พวกเรารู้สึกสงสารจับใจ.........
